Kia ora
We awhi families by providing counselling, parenting education, family support and whanaungatanga. We provide a range of free services to tamariki, rangatahi, parents and caregivers to enable whānau to flourish and thrive.
Our services are free – to reduce barriers to accessing services
We are here for whānau – who care for a child 18 years and under
We are inclusive – we embrace and welcome all whānau irrespective of race, gender, disability, religion or other factors
We are committed – to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and working in a mana-enhancing way
Our services are available to the wider Whangārei District.
How can we help you?
Our clinical staff are all professionally qualified and members of their respective professional associations. They work in a mana enhancing way to enable culture to be a central part of each person’s journey. Our services are free for whānau and caregivers who have children 18 years and under in the Whangārei District.
More confidence, more positivity...
“I have come such a long way after counselling sessions with my counsellor. She provided a safe space for me to express things that were going on, after coming out of a separation and parenting my daughter and then going into a new relationship. When I reflect to when we first started sessions, to where I am today, I am happy to say I am a new person. With more confidence, more positivity, a stronger sense of myself and a better mother to my daughter. I am so grateful for this service and for the Jigsaw North counsellor’s time. Thank you.”
